RAD SKILLS

Content may include:

  • Body Position - using stability and balance for more confidence, flow and safety on descents, ascents and corners

  • Operating controls - using brakes to slow down and stop with control; using gears for smoother pedaling and energy efficiency

*Specific skills taught will depend on participant’s riding experience

Included:

  • Bicycle & gear check

  • Skills Instruction by GSMBC certified MTB Coach with Wilderness First Aid certification, and Working with Children Check.

Pre-requites:

  • Suitable for mountain bikes 20” and above, will need off-road tyres - see our bike check details here

  • Sessions suitable for those who can ride a bike - this is not a learn to ride session

  • Complementary pre-ride bike check at Rad Cycles & Gear or evidence of recent service.

  • Equipment as listed

Groups:

  • Gettin’ rollin’ - for those new to riding off road

  • Rock & Rollin’ - for those who may have had previous skills instruction and /or feel confident riding off road

    *Group suitability will be determined upon registration and during first session.

Cost: $150.00 per person

Where: Walmer State Forest, Djaara Country

For ages 6 to 12 years

MTB skills instruction and guided riding in a progressive format. Think of it as learning to become a ninja - but on a bike. As your skills progress, unlock the next level of progression.

Focus is on fun, social connection and confidence on a bike in a low pressure environment.

$150 for 6 sessions
